The second edition of the Kilometres 4 Kids Hunter Valley ride is approaching fast. From October 16-18, 2009 riders will participate in a three day cycling challenge that will take them through some of the best cycling areas in Sydney and the Hunter Valley. Over the challenging 450 Kilometre circuit each rider will be inspired knowing that they will be helping to raise funds for the John Maclean Foundation which provides financial assistance to young Australian wheelchair users. The 2009 ride will again support a number of Hunter Valley residents through the purchase of items including new wheelchairs, shower chairs and modified bikes. Each of the Hunter Valley based recipients will attend the Kilometres for Kids dinner at the Crown Plaza Hunter Valley on October 17, 2009 where they will have a chance to meet the riders who provided the funding and give each of those riders a chance to understand the incredible impact they are having on a young Australian.
